I have been trying to get the demo for sitting working in the VRIK (basic) my issue right now is the player does not sit in a natural position. They are usually pulled too far forward. I do not understand how the actual sitting components are done. I want my player to be sitting in a chair and have the chest locked to the chair so they can only look around with their head and move their arms. I am currently using the oculus rift and unity 2018.4.4.

I can include screen shots of my project if requested.

You won't get much range with just the neck and head, but you could set it up with CCDIK for the neck and head, then after CCD just do head.rotation = head.target.rotation;

Then add ArmIK components for the arms and you won't need VRIK at all.
